Are You Marrying Just for the Spark? The real risk of ignoring "Peace of Mind" (The Moon)

Why You Need to Understand "Peace of Mind" (The Moon) in Romance

Today’s theme is all about the Moon, which governs peace of mind and security in romantic relationships.

Before we dive into the detailed analysis, let me explain why I place so much importance on "peace of mind" through these three key points.

1. Heart-Fluttering Excitement is "Stress" to the Brain

Where did you all learn the "ideal form" of romance? From friends? Parents? Advice from adults?

...No, that’s not it, is it? It was from manga, TV dramas, and movies.

To keep readers and viewers hooked, these works are created with total dedication—pouring every ounce of effort into making your heart race, giving you butterflies, and capturing that sweet heartache.

And at the very beginning of a romance, that’s totally fine. But what about real-life relationships? You meet, get married, have children, overcome various struggles, and eventually grow old together... In the middle of real daily life, what if every single day:

"Oh my gosh, our eyes met! My heart is racing...!"

...continued 24/7, 365 days a year? Honestly, you’d be completely exhausted.

That excitement is fun precisely because it happens "only at first" or "every once in a while."

In astrology, this heart-fluttering thrill is governed by Venus. If someone has the Moon and Venus at the exact same degree (a conjunction) in their natal chart, "excitement = everyday life," so that’s fine.

However, for most people, the peaceful Moon and the exciting Venus exist as separate placements.

In other words, the ideal mindset should originally be this:

"I want to fall in love with thrilling excitement (Venus), be with the person I love, and build a peaceful, secure everyday life together (the Moon)."

Yet in today's world, I feel far too many people completely skip this second half—"a peaceful everyday life (Moon)"—and mistakenly assume "Romance = Marriage (forever exciting)."

2. Do You Truly Understand Your Own "Safe Space"?

In the previous introduction, I mentioned: "Those who are seriously considering marriage fail to truly grasp this."

Now, let me ask those who want to get married—or are already married:

  • Do you know what actually makes you feel "safe and secure"?

  • Do you know what triggers your stress when violated?

  • What kind of peaceful, secure daily life do you want to build with your loved one?

  • Where is your personal "safe space" that you absolutely never want anyone to invade?

Can you answer all of these with complete self-awareness?

Marriage isn't just about "being united with the person you love." To put it strictly, it’s a social framework where two individuals—each possessing their own entire world—choose to share a single life space together.

No matter how deeply you love your partner, they have their own world and worldview. No matter how similar your personalities, hobbies, or values may be, you both have unique "safe spaces" that must not be violated.

Understanding this within yourself first, sharing it with your partner, and actively experimenting to build an environment where both of you feel deeply secure—that is what real married life is all about.

When people marry without understanding this, minor disputes turn into useless fights where they blame each other, leading to divorce because nobody knows what to fix. Or, they end up as long-term couples who endure endless tension in silence...

Neglecting the Moon is equivalent to abandoning your own emotional stress. It’s only natural that conflict erupts.

All it takes is understanding your natal chart, sharing it with your partner, and finding a middle ground together through trial and error.

Throughout history, humanity pushed romance aside and relied on brute-force, "Saturnian" methods—arranged marriages, political unions, affairs, infidelity, unplanned pregnancies, polygamy, and so on—to keep generations going. But I believe this kind of approach will no longer work in the modern era. (In fact, almost every country is currently facing a declining birthrate.)

3. "Peace of Mind" Is Not the Final Goal (Don't Forget Venus!)

Although I've been passionately advocating for "peace of mind (the Moon)," please don't misunderstand me: I am NOT saying you should prioritize peace of mind over heart-fluttering excitement (Venus).

What I really want to say is:

"Of course, excitement (Venus) is great to have. But NEVER forget peace of mind (the Moon)! You must treat them as a pair!"

Because if you neglect Venus's desire for excitement and swing completely toward "peace of mind alone," it can actually lead to affairs and infidelity.

(※ My deeper astrological analysis on Venus is quite long, so I'll save that for another time!)

Don't Rely Only on the Spark: Protecting Your Moon and Theirs

To wrap up this long post, here is the ultimate point:

If you want a lasting, happy romance or marriage, don't rely solely on heart-fluttering excitement (Venus)—make sure you truly understand your Moon as well. Not to depend on your partner, but to protect your own inner peace (the Moon) with your own strength.

...So, did my perspective make sense to you?
