Beyond Appearance|Reclaim the Sun, the Core That Leads You to a Happier Future
Where Does a Life That Has Lost the Sun Go?
So,
Beyond Appearance.
In the previous article, we talked about how obtaining the physical body—the “appearance” you want—does not necessarily make you happy.
Changing your physical appearance itself is,
to be honest,
something you can do almost endlessly with enough money and technology in this day and age.
The problem is—
what comes after that.
“So, how am I supposed to become happy?”
That is the part many people don't know.
Well, I explained this part in detail here.
But,
you cannot fulfill everything immediately.
Everywhere you look, there are catchy phrases like:
“If you just do this!”
“You'll see results as soon as tomorrow!”
“Anyone can do it easily!”
But come on.
You can't possibly master all the countless stars in the universe in a single day.
Of course you can't.
Your life contains:
the Sun,
the Moon,
Mercury,
Venus,
Mars,
Jupiter,
Saturn,
and beyond them,
Uranus, Neptune, Pluto,
and even asteroids.
Each one influences a different part of your life.
Of course,
I have prepared a simple process for learning how to utilize them,
but even so,
you have to learn to utilize the countless stars spread throughout the universe in every area of your life.
This is not something you can accomplish overnight.
So,
don't expect to obtain everything just by reading this article.
Rather,
this is where it begins.
But—
among all those countless stars,
there is one that is considered especially important.
And this time,
we are going to use that star.
That star is—
The Sun.
What Is the Sun?
In astrology,
the Sun represents
“the purpose of your life.”
It is also deeply connected to
a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.
In other words:
“What am I living for?”
“What would I have to accomplish to feel that I am truly living my own life?”
“What makes me feel genuinely satisfied with myself?”
These kinds of questions are connected to the
central axis of your life.
That is what the Sun represents.
So, for this theme,
if I were to choose just one star among all the countless stars to explain,
I thought this was the one that mattered most.
That is why I prepared this explanation.
The Sun Is Your “Compass for Life”
Life can actually be surprisingly easy to get lost in.
At school,
you are told,
“Study hard.”
When you enter society,
you are told,
“Get a good job.”
In relationships,
you are told,
“You'll be happy if you date someone like this.”
Then you look at social media,
and you are constantly shown one “correct answer” after another:
“This is the ideal lifestyle.”
“This is what beauty looks like.”
“This is what success looks like.”
“This is how much money a normal person should make.”
And while you keep chasing all of those things,
one day you suddenly realize—
“Wait… what was it that I actually wanted?”
That is what it means to lose the central axis of your life.
The Sun is like a
compass for your life
that allows you to return to yourself when that happens.
No matter how noisy the world becomes,
no matter how many people around you move in completely different directions,
you can look at yourself and say,
“This is the direction I am going.”
That is the Sun.
So, What Does It Mean to Fulfill Your Sun?
This is not as simple as saying,
“My Sun is in ○○, so I have a ○○ personality.”
The Sun is also
a power that you develop and express throughout your life.
You are not born knowing how to perfectly use your Sun.
Rather,
through your life experiences,
you gradually establish for yourself:
“Who am I?”
“What do I want to accomplish?”
“How do I want to live?”
And the more you move in the direction indicated by your Sun,
the more you can develop a sense of:
“This is who I am, and this is how I want to live.”
That leads to a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.
On the other hand,
if you are simply living someone else's life,
no matter how many external conditions you obtain,
it becomes difficult to reach that feeling.
The Sun Actually Cannot Be Used Unconsciously
In fact,
the Sun is not
“a natural personality trait that you can simply use because you were born with it.”
This is a very important point when understanding the Sun.
A birth chart contains many qualities that you are born with.
But the Sun has a strong meaning as
a “goal” or “purpose” that you consciously develop and acquire as you move toward the later stages of life.
In other words,
it is not as simple as:
“My Sun is here, so I have always been this kind of person.”
Rather,
you gradually establish the direction of:
“This is the kind of person I am going to become.”
You choose it yourself,
experience it,
and gradually build it into your life.
But in this world,
there are many people who are unable to use their Sun well.
Why?
Because it is not something you can simply do naturally from birth.
It is something you have to
consciously develop for yourself, regardless of what the people around you think.
When you are a child,
you can live according to the values of those around you:
“Because my parents say so.”
“Because my teacher says so.”
“Because everyone else is doing it.”
But as you grow older,
you eventually reach a point where you can no longer escape the question:
“How do I actually want to live?”
That is when you become conscious of your Sun,
and begin to take the wheel of your own life by saying,
“This is the direction I am going.”
That is what it means to
use your Sun.
So the Sun is not about
“whether you have it or not.”
Everyone has a Sun in their birth chart.
The real question is—
whether you are actually expressing that Sun through your life.
That is what matters.
And if you are not,
then no matter how many other stars you utilize,
something in the center of your life will still feel unsettled.
That is why you must first know your own Sun.
And then,
consciously develop and express that Sun through your own life.
This is the first step toward reclaiming the central axis of your life.
What Happens When You Don't Fulfill Your Sun?
This is where things get rather harsh.
Not fulfilling your Sun does not necessarily mean
you will have
“an unhappy, broken life.”
In fact,
you may even appear to be living a perfectly successful life from the outside.
You have a job.
You have money.
You have a partner.
You have friends.
You look good.
From everyone else's perspective,
you seem
“happy.”
But inside,
“Something just doesn't feel right.”
And that is when an empty life begins.
“The Life Society Calls Happy” and “The Life That Makes You Happy” Are Different
For example,
society may tell you that getting into a prestigious company is success.
So you worked hard and got in.
But if you are simply not using your Sun,
you may find yourself asking every day,
“What am I even doing here?”
You are not satisfied at all.
Or perhaps you are told,
“You'll be happy if you get married,”
so you get married.
“You'll be happy once you have children,”
so you have children.
“You're not truly an adult until you own a house,”
so you buy a house.
And yet,
somewhere deep inside,
the feeling remains:
“Is this really my life?”
Of course,
there is nothing inherently wrong with
marriage,
children,
work,
or owning a home.
The question is—
“Does this actually fulfill the core of what I am seeking?”
This is what it means to lose sight of your Sun.
The Other Stars Exist to Adorn the Sun
This is where you can understand the importance of the Sun even more.
There are truly countless stars in a birth chart.
And each has its own role.
The Moon is your emotions.
Mercury is thought and communication.
Venus is joy and love.
Mars is action.
Jupiter is expansion.
Saturn is limitation and structure.
And then there are
Uranus, Neptune, Pluto—
all of them are necessary parts of your life.
But for the purposes of this article,
try thinking of them as
“decorations that adorn the Sun.”
Of course,
the decorations themselves have value.
But without a center,
you eventually lose sight of what you are decorating in the first place.
The Sun establishes the central axis:
“This is how I am going to live.”
And the other stars support that life.
Which means—
when you fulfill your Sun, your entire life becomes much more likely to move toward happiness.
Conversely,
if you lose sight of your Sun
and chase only the other stars,
you may continue to feel:
“I don't really know what I'm doing.”
So, First, Look at Your Sun
So, this time,
what I want you to do is simple:
Know your Sun.
First,
find out where your compass is pointing.
That's all.
Where is your Sun?
What sign is it in?
What qualities does it possess?
By understanding these things,
you can begin to see:
“What direction should I move in to experience a greater sense of accomplishment and fulfillment?”
And from there,
you can begin using your Sun in your actual life.
First, Take Back “Your Own Life”
So, next time,
we will actually look at your birth chart and examine
the “central axis of your life” indicated by your Sun.
What is it that you are meant to pursue?
What kind of life are you here to live?
We will reclaim those answers
from your own birth chart.
