Last time, we talked about the Midheaven, which represents your public face, and the Ascendant, which represents your true self.
I explained that making use of both is one of the keys to living life to the fullest.
This time, I would like to explain why using these two together is not such an easy thing to do.
From this point on, the explanations will show you ways to evolve yourself, so please make good use of them.
Why is it so difficult to skillfully use these two faces?
That is because zodiac signs also have something called compatibility.
When summarized in a list, it looks something like this.

It becomes easier to understand if you think of them as characters.
From the perspective of the pure, childlike Aries, the nagging, adult-like Capricorn feels irritating.
For Cancer, who wants to cherish a small circle of close friends, Libra’s “everyone get along” mindset is hard to understand.
Aquarius says that e-books are the future, while Taurus insists on wanting to read real, physical books.
In this way, zodiac signs that are about 90 degrees apart tend to have very poor compatibility.
It’s not so much that they dislike each other, but rather that their natures just don’t mesh well.
It feels like you’re excitedly moving forward on your chosen path, only to have noisy outsiders come in and bring your mood down.
Now then, let’s take a look at the horoscopes of Yayoi and Sumire that were shown in the previous example.

Did you notice it? The Ascendant and the Midheaven are forming roughly this 90-degree angle.
In other words, the Ascendant represents your natural self, and the Midheaven represents the role society expects of you, and these two clash at a 90-degree angle, making them difficult to handle.
This angle is called a square.
In horoscopes, it is treated as a difficult or unfavorable angle.
To be more precise, those who form a perfect 90-degree angle suffer the most, but since most people struggle between their true self and their public face, it’s fine to think of it in the same way.
However, although this difficult angle is often seen as negative simply because it is hard to handle,
in reality, it is also an angle of evolution.
Next time, we will explain that in more detail, so look forward to it.
