When God Equals God | For Those Living in a World That Has Lost Neptune
This article will use the manga "孤独の鬼は角を取り神と成る。" as its foundation.
I'm going to jump straight into the analysis, so if you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend doing so first.

This discussion relies heavily on some prior knowledge, so without that background you may find yourself thinking,
"Wait... what?"

Honestly, if you skip these, there's a good chance you won't understand what I'm talking about in this article.
"A human becomes an oni and defeats a cursed god."
That is the premise of the manga,
"The Lonely Oni Removes Its Horns and Becomes a God."
At first glance, the story appears to be:
A lonely human defeating a god
A romance between the protagonist and a sacrificial girl
But that's not actually what the story is about.
The most important part of this story is this:
A human became a hornless oni (a god) and defeated a fallen god.
In other words,
God = God
is established here.
And that is incredibly important.
That is why this story contains very little of the usual
"How do we defeat the god?"
trial-and-error process that you would normally expect from a battle manga.
Because that is not the real theme.
What matters is the structure itself:
A god defeated a god.
That is the point.
...Even so,
that probably doesn't make much sense yet.
In astrological terms, the concept of God belongs to the realm of Neptune, or perhaps even a realm beyond Neptune.

However, saying
"God exists beyond Neptune"
makes the explanation much more complicated... or rather, much more annoying to explain.
So for the sake of simplicity, let's use the following definition:
God = the Neptune Engine
In other words,
the lonely human being = Saturn
needed to become
Neptune = Oni (God)
in order to defeat
God = Neptune.
As shown in the image, there are shrines throughout Japan that use a character associated with "god" derived from the kanji for oni by removing the upper dot. So there is no need to think, "How dare you put lowly oni and gods in the same category?" Historically and symbolically, the connection already exists.
In other words, for the protagonist,
Saturn → Neptune
had to occur.
Saturn transformed into Neptune in order to confront a Neptunian god.
And that brings me to the real point I wanted to express through this story.
For other planetary energies—such as Mars or Venus—it may still be possible to handle them through Saturnian means.
But Neptune is different.
Neptune is the one thing that must be confronted as Neptune.
If you try to deal with it any other way,
you can end up in a truly disastrous situation.
That is what I wanted to say.
And unfortunately,
people all over the world are getting this spectacularly wrong.
