Now, let me ask you a question.

What do you think this is?

This is a natal chart, also known as a horoscope in Western astrology.

Astrologers use this chart to interpret a person's fate, talents, and future.

This chart is created based on three key elements:

① Date of birth

② Time of birth

③ Place of birth

In fact, all this chart does is show "the sky at the moment you were born."

Now, let’s break it down step by step.

At the center of the chart is the Earth — specifically, the location where you were born.

That’s why your birthplace is essential for creating a horoscope.

You’ve probably heard that "the moon looks different depending on the country you’re in", right?

Just like that, the visible position of the planets changes depending on your location, so it must be narrowed down even to the city level.

So imagine this:

Let’s say the place you are right now is your birthplace.

Look up at the sky — you’d see many stars.

Over time, ancient scholars gave names to groups of stars like “Taurus” or “Virgo,” and they always appear in the same order in the sky.

And those 12 zodiac signs are what you see arranged around the outer edge of the chart.

They’re always in this order:

Aries → Taurus → Gemini → … — this order never changes.

Here are the symbols for each zodiac sign.

Honestly, you’ll just have to memorize them — but don’t worry, ChatGPT will help you understand what they mean.

So for now, just remember the symbols and names of the signs.

Next, let’s look at the small symbols inside the chart.

These represent the planets (like the Sun, Moon, Venus, etc.).

The position of each planet is extremely important.

That’s because planets are believed to influence our talents, destiny, and life path.

Remember how we said the center of the chart is Earth?

So the planetary positions in the chart show how the planets appeared from Earth at the time of your birth.

Each planet orbits the Sun at a different speed, which means the way they appear from Earth constantly changes.

For example, the Moon’s position is completely different on August 30 vs. March 26.

Likewise, different planetary positions = different energies influencing us.

In short:

The Moon’s position changes

the energy it gives off changes

your destiny changes.

So to read your destiny, you absolutely need the positions of the planets.

That’s why your date, time, and place of birth are all required.

But you might be thinking:

"Can planetary positions really decide my life?"

"Do planets really have that kind of power?"

Honestly, science hasn’t fully explained this yet.

But one fact remains:

The energy of the planets definitely has some kind of influence.

For example:

Why is it hard for AI to have emotions?

Why does underwater training develop softer muscles?

Why do even rich people still feel anxious?

You’d be surprised — the basic information about the planets in your horoscope can explain these things.

The world is built upon the power of the planets —

which means we, too, are inevitably influenced by them.

There’s no other way to explain it.

For now, just remember this:

●We are influenced by planetary energy.

● Which planet is in which position really matters!

Here are the symbols for each planet

— let’s work on memorizing them together!

Next, let’s talk about the 12 divisions of the horoscope — called Houses.

Houses show which area of life each planet has an effect on.

For example:

1st House = Self / Identity

2nd House = Money / Finances

7th House = Relationships

These houses are calculated based on your exact time of birth.

Even a 1-minute difference can shift the lines between houses, so it’s best to be as precise as possible.

For now, it’s okay to be a little rough.

★If a planet is in a house → that area of life is important for you.

★If a house is empty → that area is not as critical for your life.

Lastly, let’s talk about the red and blue lines in the chart.

These show the angles (aspects) between the planets.

Red lines = Positive aspects (120°, 60°)

→ Smooth, harmonious energy

Blue lines = Challenging aspects (90°, 180°) → Tension, conflict, or growth opportunities

These angles influence how planetary energies interact.

You might think,

"Why bother with angles? Can’t I just look at the planets and signs?"

But these angles often act on us subconsciously, so being aware of them helps you stay grounded and not overwhelmed.

You can check your specific angles using this reference chart.

There’s something called an "orb" (tolerance range) for these angles, but you don’t need to be super strict about that for now.

Let’s also learn the symbols for these angle types!

And that’s the basic explanation of the horoscope!

Astrologers interpret your destiny using a complex combination of:

Zodiac Degrees × Houses × Planets × Angles.

Honestly, it’s incredibly deep and challenging.

Unlike some other forms of astrology (like Zi Wei Dou Shu), the interpretations in a horoscope are almost limitless.

That’s why it’s best to use tools like ChatGPT to help you narrow things down!

Of course, I’ll be explaining how to read your horoscope little by little from now on —

So let’s learn together!

Next time, I’ll show you how to create your own horoscope chart.

Stay tuned!
