Real People Aren’t Built Like Manga Characters

What Is

“Individuality”?

By dictionary definition:

A unique set of traits and characteristics specific to an individual.

In manga, a character’s personality is crucial—

It helps readers remember the character and care about the story.

If a character lacks distinct traits, the story feels flat.

If the personality is vague, the character lacks direction.

That’s why manga artists carefully build character profiles.

Example profile:

・Cheerful mood-maker, never gives up

・Bad at studying, but athletic

・Friendly with everyone, takes on challenges

・Big, sparkly eyes; wears hoodies and shorts

・Short, spiky hair

・Energetic and expressive movements

Surprise—this entire character was based on the theme of Aries.

Here’s what it would look like as a horoscope:

As explained earlier:

A horoscope is a snapshot of the sky at your birth—the map of your soul.

It’s nearly impossible for all planets and houses to cluster into a single sign like Aries.

House positions don’t skew this extremely.

Even rare things like "interceptions" don’t cause this kind of concentration.

It's extremely rare for all the planets to cluster in a single zodiac sign. It's said to be a phenomenon that happens only once every few hundred to a few thousand years—almost like a cosmic fluke.

So basically, no one is born under such a one-note setup.

Now, here’s the real point.

Aren’t you looking at yourself in the same one-sided way as this “over-the-top character setup”?

I’m neat and tidy, so I feel like I always have to take my work seriously.

“I love freedom, so my partner must be a free spirit too.”

We often label ourselves in narrow, simplified ways.

That’s where you’re mistaken.

Look at this example from ArcanaLot: the protagonist, Yayoi.

The house placements and planetary positions are pretty complex, right?

And we need to apply all of it to ourselves.

Yayoi’s chart shows:

Moon in Pisces → embrace your emotional core

Sun in Taurus → follow your life’s purpose

2nd House in Aries → earn money through action

5th/7th Houses in Leo & Cancer → love through passion and care

10th House in Sagittarius → pursue career through vision and freedom

If you tap into all of these elements, your potential unlocks.

But if you only focus on, say, your Sun sign (Taurus), problems arise.

You want to boost your career luck.

Career relates to Sagittarius, a fire sign, but your Sun sign is Taurus, an earth sign.

Fire energy would enhance your career, but you're only using earth energy.

Since earth suppresses fire, your natural "fire talent" can't shine.

As a result, your career luck stays stagnant.

Come on, what are you even doing?

The takeaway:Don’t define yourself by just one label.

Humans are naturally complex, full of contradictions.

Use every planet, every sign—each in its rightful place.

That’s what true personality means.

Next time, let's delve into the concept of 'labeling,' which restricts self-awareness based on interpretations like the ones we've discussed today. Stay tuned!
